Namibian Tours

Custom made tours.  Contact us to start to put together a tour just for you.  We take up to four people travelling together on tour, meaning that it is always small and private.  Staying small and private is important to our tours.

We recommend a slower pace through Namibia, spending more nights per location and doing less locations in total.  It give you a chance to have some 'holiday' on your tour, but more importantly, gives you the chance to really savour the area and the experience.  By spending more time in each area, it also means that less of your tour will be spent on the road.

Our tours are done in Land Rover with adequate luggage space.

We recommend the well known Namibian attractions, such as Sossusvlei, Etosha and the Swakopmund area.  There are ways to get away from the crowd in those regions if you spend some time in those regions, and there are such amazing things to see that it is worth including those regions on your tour.

Before you come checklist:

• Organize travel insurance
• Contact your doctor concerning requirements in Namibia, including speaking to him about Malaria.  We are a safari operator, not physicians and we do not give advice on medical issues.
• Namibia is a year round destination, but weather at different time suits different interests and different 'weather tolerance' of guests.  Check with us before you arrive in Namibia
• Roads are long, bring some reading material if you like reading on the road.
• A small, bright flashlight, with LED bulbs are very useful
• Cameras:  bring your SLR.  Speak to frequent travellers about security issues and weight issues with travelling with your camera equipment.

Death by Dunes

Indulge in an experience few had had the opportunity to experience.

Walk the big dunes!  Imagine the experience – to be on foot out in the open desert, kilometers from the vehicle, from other people, cell phones, almost anything but sand and the little creatures that live in it.

On this trip we will spend some time focusing on what dunes are all about, both in terms of how they are formed and the fauna and flora that make the dunes their home.

See a selection of different dunes, from the off-white dunes at the coast, to the almost brick red dunes seen at sunset at Sossusvlei region. 

This is a short tour and may be combined with other tours in Namibia or elsewhere.

Cave Décor

Namibia’s only World Heritage site is situated at Twyfelfontein.  This site has a prolific amount of petroglyphs (or rock engravings) from the people who occurred in these areas in historical times.  Not only do we find rock art at Twyfelfontein, but there is rock art found all over the rocky parts of Namibia. 

We will explore rock art sites all along the Namib and neighbouring areas.  This tour, however, is by no means only about rock art.  The mountains and desert landscapes found where these sites are situated, and on the trips between.

Experience Etosha National Park Deeply 

This trip is ideal for those who have done a number of tours to great game reserves and always leave feeling like there is more to see and experience.  It's a chance to see so much more than usual.  We slow the whole experience down and spend time not just seeing animals, but learning a bit of what goes on.

The trip is ideal for birders and for photographers.
