About - The Frantic Naturalist Directory
This is a directory of nature or naturalist tours companies. The idea is to promote mostly small to medium size companies who have a strong focus on nature in the manner in which they conduct tours. These types of companies would likely have permanent guides or use select individuals. Guides would often be refered to as 'naturarlists' by themselves and those they associate with.
The directory is a guide for those who are planning to travel, and want to make sure that the company they will be traveling with has a delibrate, knowledge rich focus on nature. These companies specifically choose to identify themselves as being 'nature oriented' in their approach.
The companies listed are there mostly because they sent me information about themself. I have included a couple companies myself. If you have a company to recomend, I am very interested. Click here.
The idea for the directory is simple, I wanted a place where you could easily come and look for tour companies who focus on nature.

Content includes things going on while I go birding or guiding, as well as lots of general information and view on a range of topics. It's well worth following if you plan to travel to Namibia. I don't post that often to this blog, just when a good story pops in my head. If you like the stories, please subscribe. That way even if the time between posts is long, you will still recieve the posts, and don't have to constantly visit the site to see when new stories have been added.

About - Services I offer
Specialist Birding day tours in the central coastal region of Namibia (Swakopmund and Walvis Bay) - through Safari Wise There are many posibilities for birding in the Central Coastal region. It is posible to do a day or two out to Spitzkoppe, Erongo Mountains and other areas near Swakopmund. I am also knowledgeable on the birds in the Sossusvlei area, and could do a short birding excursion to that area as well. If you are interested in aranging some small excursion from Swakopmund, just let me know and I can help you arange it.
Specialist services - I have a broad field knowledge in the areas of NamibRand Nature Reserve, the greater Sossusvlei area and in the central coastal area of Namibia. For filming or photo shoots, short term conservation or research projects, I can asist with both field knowledge and general logistics. Contact Me.
